Round 1 Rowly connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Leo Rowly eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Fortunato Velasquez. Leo Rowly connects with a jab cross combination. Rowly is sent backwards from a series of punches from Velasquez. Rowly dodges a jab and throws a kick to the midsection of Fortunato Velasquez. Leo Rowly winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Fortunato feints and follows up with a hard cross. Leo Rowly stalks forward paws away with a couple jabs missing the mark. Fortunato connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Velasquez throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Leo Rowly is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Fortunato Velasquez feints and follows up with a hard crossto the head of Leo. Leo takes in a well composed combination of quick strikes from Fortunato. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Leo throws a hard leg kick but is checked by Fortunato. Fortunato circles Leo Rowly, mixing jabs with body shots. Rowly is dizzied on his feet from a furious punching sequence from Fortunato. Rowly is sent backwards from a series of punches from Fortunato Velasquez. Rowly takes a punch and goes to the mat, Fortunato pounces into side control. Rowly recovers quickly. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Leo connects with a hard jab as Fortunato attempts a wide outside hook. Rowly connects with a hard punch making Velasquez bring him in to a tight clinch. Fortunato works Rowly into the cage from the clinch. Fortunato presses his head under Leos chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Fortunato Velasquez escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Leo Rowly parries a jab but leaves himself open for a hard cross. Leo lands a double jab. Velasquez moves in to press the action, but Leo lands a heavy back kick.Round 3 comes to a close.
