Round 1 The fighters circle each other. Manny Lewis lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Soto. Remedios Soto lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. Lewis connects with a hard right hand putting Remedios Soto on the mat. Lewis goes down with him into side control. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Lewis dodges a jab and lands a kick to the face of Remedios Soto. Manny Lewis connects with a strong right hook. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Lewis breaks away from the clinch while delivering a knee. Manny Lewis connects with a right that puts Remedios off balance tumbling to the mat, as Manny Lewis towers over him. Manny Lewis drops a huge strike to Sotos chin, landing into his guard. Two heavy strikes from Manny dazes "suga". Manny crawls over to side mount. Soto takes a few knees to the body while under Manny Lewiss side control. Lewis slides his knee across the body of Soto and takes full mount. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Manny is rocked by a standing elbow strike. Lewis attempts a striking combination, but Remedios Soto forces the clinch. Manny Lewis drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. Soto backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Remedios Soto fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Manny Lewis. Remedios connects with a stiff knee to the chin. Lewis is dazed on the mat. Remedios Soto dances around Mannys legs and throws a hard kick to the body. The round comes to an end.
