Round 1 The fighters circle each other. Denny fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Victor Barros. Martin is in the clinch with Barros, and changes levels for a beautiful double leg takedown. An attempt to pull a switch is blocked by Denny Martin but both fighters end up on their side. Both fighters scramble to a stand up. Victor fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Denny Martin to a corner. Denny Martin swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Martin begins to work the rubber guard. Victor drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Martin starts to create some distance with his legs, Victor Barros capitalizes by passing to side control. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Denny Martin attempts to press in but Victor Barros uses a inside reaping to put Denny Martin on the canvas. Victor Barros hops to side control. Victor slides his knee across the body of Martin and takes full mount. Victor maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Martin gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Victor Barros peppers Denny with several shots to the face. Denny starts to wiggle out of back control, Barros lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Victor attempts to press in but Denny Martin uses a inside reaping to put Victor on the canvas. Denny Martin hops to side control. Martin attempts an armbar, but Barros stops the attempt. Martin uses the oppurtunity to take mount. Victor pulls Denny Martin close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Barros gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Barros carefully protects himself from Denny Martins strikes. Barros slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Round 3 is over.
