Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Michael works to Floyds back while standing. Michael throws a couple of outside shots until Floyd is able to work his way back to the clinch. Michael Cox works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Michael drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Floyd sets a guillotine choke but Michael slips out at the last moment. Michael is now caught in guard. Michael pushes down Floyds leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Sauer hits an upward elbow on Michael Cox, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Michael Cox takes side control. Michael slides his knee across the body of Sauer and takes full mount. Sauer gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Cox peppers shots to the head of Floyd and finds an opening to slide his arm under the neck for a tight choke. Floyd struggles for a bit but has to tap out.
