Round 1 Beto lands a hook to the body. Beto Miranda lands a hook to the body then a straight cross to the sternum. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Gabe Carter fakes a shot attempt from the clinch, opening Beto Miranda up for a flurry of hooks. As Gabe presses forward Miranda throws a wild spinning backfist. Gabe leans away from the strike and lands a couple of strong punches that staggers Miranda. Gabe Carter stands over Beto Miranda, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Beto Miranda is able to grab an arm and pull Gabe Carter into his guard. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Miranda throws a few jabs at Gabe that miss the mark. Miranda gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Gabe peppers Beto with several shots to the face. Beto Miranda is able to make it back to the standing position. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Beto circles Gabe Carter, landing jabs and crosses at will. "El Conquistador" connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Gabe. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. A shot catches Beto Miranda off balance and off guard. Gabe grabs him by the waist, lifts him, swings him through and slams in onto the ground. Beto Miranda scrambles well and works to guard. "Late Bloomer" tries to pass guard but Miranda stops him with a well timed punch. Carter pushes down Beto Mirandas leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Carter is able to slip into mount from the half guard. "El Conquistador" gets pummeled by the fists of Gabe Carter. "El Conquistador" gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Beto is able to make it back to the standing position. Gabe tries to hyperextend the knee of Beto with a kick to the kneecap. Beto hops back to avoid it. Gabe Carter connects with a hard jab as Miranda attempts a wide outside hook. The bell signals the end of round 3.
